An artist who introspects human psychology

Rahul Chaudhury is a multifaceted artist known for his unique blend of illustration and graphic art, often exploring deep introspective themes. His work is marked by vivid imagery and strong visual storytelling, with notable series such as Burning Desire, Shadows, Sound, and Dead Ear Tree.

Burning Desire Series

Burning Desire explores human emotion and the layered tensions within social and psychological life.

Dead Ear Tree

This series reflects listening, silence, nature and the psychological relationship between human beings and their surroundings.

Drawings and Other Media

Drawings, photography, video, publications, Relicmongers and archival material come together in a wider visual practice.

Artistic Direction

People on the streets, in buses, in trains, in taxis

Much of his journey reveals an artist constantly observing people in public spaces and drawing them through quick sketches on inexpensive paper, as though capturing fleeting moments. These drawings hold within them the social structure of a society and the behaviour of the people who inhabit it.

His drawings create an immersive experience

Roaming through streets, observing people and sketching them has left a deep impact on his practice. He often works in abstract ways, not directly representing events or characters, but still telling stories about behaviour, inner thought and human response.
